Thursday, October 19th, the Bellville High School Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 54 new members, one of the biggest groups.  The ceremony was lead by the officers of the chapter: 
President: Sarah Mahlmann
Vice President: Isabella Luongo
Secretary: Mikayla Stark
Treasurer: Brayden Voelkel
Reporter: Conner Neumann



Sarah Mahlmann received letter of commendation from National Merit Scholarship Program.

Bellville High School 2017 AP Exam Results Summary

Bellville High School had 55 students who took AP exams in a total of 7 subjects/ courses (91 total exams).  AP exams are given throughout the United States and also in other countries, and AP exams are scored on a scale of 1 through 5 with any score of 3 or higher considered passing.  Bellville High School students' mean scores were higher than the mean scores for the State of Texas on all 7 subjects in which students took the AP test.  Bellville High School students had higher mean scores on 5 of 7 subjects as compared to the United States, and Bellville High School students' mean scores were higher than the mean scores of all international schools on 5 of the 7 subjects.

For Bellville High School, (62%) 56 out of 91 exams for a total of 34 students (23 took multiple tests) received scores of 3 or higher on the following tests: English Language Composition (Normally given to 11th graders), English Literature Composition (Normally given to 12th graders), Calculus AB, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
